Taking cues from a Hamptons upbringing, designer Lulu de Kwiatkowski infuses subtle beach themes into her handiwork. Her latest rug introductions – “Ripped Paper” and “Rope” – speak the language of summer, “… the bold colors of sunfish sails and Lacoste shirts of the ’70s,” she says. “This love of all things seaside has always been my inspiration.” Hand-knotted in Tibet and priced at $80 a square foot, they are a colorful spot on which to drop anchor.
